About the Project

Our Mission

The GatE project (Gender Equality in the Green Energy Transition) is a two-year project co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme, European policy experimentation (Project number: 101195962, Call reference: ERASMUS-EDU-2024-POL-EXP-VET). GatE aims to advance gender equality in the green energy sector by empowering women, especially from marginalized groups, through inclusive education, career support, and policy innovation. The project focuses on adapting vocational education and training (VET) programmes, enhancing mentorship opportunities, and creating accessible tools that foster women's participation and leadership in the green transition.

Our Vision

GatE envisions a future where women are active leaders and contributors in Europe’s green energy transformation. By tackling systemic barriers reshaping training frameworks, and building supportive environments, the project seeks to empower all women, regardless of background, thrive in green technology careers.

About LEAN

Our Approach

GatE project is a European policy experimentation initiative which allows new policy proposals to be tested in real-world conditions, monitor their outcomes, and generate evidence to from future policies. In GatE, this means implementing and evaluating the outcome of creating inclusive vocational and education training (VET) curricula at EQF levels 3 and 4. The project adopts a modified Quadruple Helix Innovation Model, engaging stakeholders from industry, government, civil society, and self-empowerment to design and enact a bundle of interconnected awareness, policy & advocacy career support and training actions.
