Objectives

1
Design the Blueprint for Gender Equality in the Green Energy Transition, a strategic framework and action plan to to attract, develop, and retain women across the EU’s green energy sector. This blueprint is a commitment to building a more inclusive, diverse, and empowered workforce at the heart of the green transition.

2
Establish mentorship programs led by experienced women professionals in the green energy sector for female students and newcomers, while training career guidance officers, educators, and trainers across various educational settings, including schools, training centres, and public employment services to help women transition smoothly into the green energy workforce.

3
Develop targeted career guidance services that include upskilling and reskilling opportunities, raising awareness about women’s vital role in clean technology roles and supporting both young girls and adult women entering or re-entering the workforce.

4
Research of effective strategies and best practices for attracting girls and women to tech vocational education and training (VET) programs. By identifying what works, the aim is to formulate and promote inclusion practices to support marginalised women, including those from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds and migrant communities, in entering and thriving in the green labour market.
